The Sealtek Zero Leakage System (ZLS) offers a variety of fibrous flexible compounds, replacing compression packings (more commonly known as gland packing) in the stuffing box. This material evenly surrounds the shaft and works like a lubricated plug, eliminating pressure points.
The ZLS is comprised of very low friction compounds, extending sleeve life due to no scoring, provides significant energy savings and increases pump efficiency.
The ZLS is available in various synthetic fibres, mixed with tixotropic and other lubricants and is pressure treated to ensure uniform dispersion. These non asbestos packing materials can operate in applications of high temperature and pressure, any shaft speed and most known chemical products. The ZLS eliminates the need for “re-packing” as all it requires is adding a small quantity of compound whenever it is necessary. When correctly installed, rotating equipment will operate with minimum or no leakage (Zero Leakage).
The Zero Leakage System compounds are self lubricating and self cooling. Lantern rings and flush systems are no longer required for successful pump operation.

The zero leakage system is unique in that it suits most stuffing box sizes, this means that you would no longer need to have a range of different gland packings (styles, materials and sizes) on the shelf. You just simply inject the universal compound through your flushing port.
